ABOUT FIONA SWAN
Fiona enjoys working with individuals and groups to help improve their health and wellbeing.
Starting out as a Nordic Walking Instructor in 2010 she has since become a Level 3 Pilates instructor and Personal trainer along with a Diploma in Exercise Referral and a Level 4 specialist qualification in 'Exercise for Lower Back Pain'.
Fiona says "I really like it when individuals who perhaps haven't exercised for a while come to my classes and just give it a go. My classes aren't about being the fittest or most 'streamlined' person there. What's important, whatever your age, experience or ability is just getting started and making progress over time.
It's really rewarding to see improvements being made, friendships being forged and people having a better lifestyle as a result."
Fiona as a Nordic Walking UK instructor also runs 'Learn to Nordic Walk' training, and regular group fitness and leisure walks at Haldon Forest Park and National Trust Killerton.

"have been attending Fiona's classes for 3 years now and really feel that I have been able to develop. I love Pilates and had done some research about the exercise. Fiona uses the core ideas and movements within her classes. She changes and adapts each session, doing a little more on one part of the body each week. Fiona is able to offer suggestions about adapting what you are doing to your ability. She also give clear direction about breathing, which I have found confusing in the past. I don't know if it just me and the effect of the breathing, but I find them really relaxing too. Fiona has all the basic equipment needed. There is also a spread of locations for classes and options for holidays and evenings, which I really value." Claire Smith - Exeter
"Great class, I feel great and well stretched after every visit. Very much recommended." Paul Terry - Starcross
"My husband and I have been attending Fiona's classes for several years. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We always feel better after the classes." Beth Poole - Kenton
"Really friendly group for my first Pilates course with Fiona, who explained the movements clearly and checked to make sure that we were doing them properly - often minor adjustments, but it made all the difference!" Chris Laws - East Devon
"A friendly and inviting environment where Fiona helps and encourages everyone to reach their own level in Pilates.... everyone has different levels of bendiness moves for different levels or medical conditions to suit and to get the best out of you....
I float out each week feeling balanced and calm, my body with each muscle having been worked, stretched and relaxed... and breathe!! Thank you Fiona." Lucy Grocock - Dawlish Warren
"I am really enjoying Pilates with Fiona. I had a difficult pregnancy followed by C section, plus a bad back and the pilates really helps. The classes are like a small oasis of calm for a new mum. Fiona is a brilliant instructor and I find her instructions really easy to follow. I look forward to continuing to learn Pilates." Sara-Jane Harris - Cofton
Caroline really made me laugh when she said this in the café after the class at Haldon Forest Park.
"I've surprised myself as for one minute I actually though.. I'm quite enjoying this!" Caroline Dixon - Luscombe
